“Strategic planning for financial sustainability of smaller NGOs”, supported from World Vision. The training activities foreseen in the project served to provide the theoretical perspective combined with practical examples/ exercises to enhance the financial sustainability of the organizations in delivering services to their target groups, in protecting the rights of children with disabilities in various areas across te country.
Sustainability is a measure of an organization’s ability to fulfill its mission and serve its stakeholders over time. Strategic planning for sustainability means broader sources of funding and an enhanced ability to deliver vital services to target groups.
The training examined sustainability as a process, not an end as it involves all the elements and functions of an organization and every major decision made within the organization.
The training proposed seeks to provide users with the fundamental tools required to enhance the sustainability of the organizations through Strategic Planning.
This training was designed to support key sustainability issues faced by organizations by tailoring it to their needs. The training was designed to be flexible and to meet the needs of the organisations.
The training was followed from NGOs staff covering different roles and functions in the organisation, for this reason a preliminary consultation session before the training between trainers and WV staff took place in order to target the audience needs.
